Capacity Building Employment is a capacity building support aimed at finding and keeping a job. In this category assistance is provided to obtain, maintain and/or retain employment in the open or supported labour market.

NDIS Employment Options

School Leavers Employment Scheme (SLES)
SLES offers tailored supports to meet the participant’s individual employment goals so that they can gain employment in the open employment market. The participant is not able or unlikely to be able to access DES but is likely to after 2 years of SLES intervention.

Supported Employment
(Australian Disability Enterprise)
(ADE)
Australian Disability Enterprises (ADEs) are generally not for profit organisations providing supported employment opportunities to people with disability. People in ADE's must have and Disability Support Pension and receive a supported wage.

(DES)
DES supports persons with disability to get ready to look for a job, find a job and keep a job

People applying for DES must have the capacity to work 8+ hours per week in open employment now or within 2 years of DES Intervention.
