Household Cleaning & Other Household Activities
Housecleaning and other household tasks is support provided by supports workers to perform essential house cleaning activities when the participant is not able to maintain their home environment. Goals of household and other houshold tasks are to

Return a participant to past roles and functions
-
Develop new functional skills and roles relevant to their life stage
-
Build the participants capacity and/or skills to complete household tasks independently,
-
Allow a participant to actively participate in household tasks or
-
Assist the participant where they are not reasonably able to undertake these tasks.​
Assistance with household cleaning and other household tasks may be required if you are unable to hold onto cleaning equipment ((e.g. lack of strenth in the arms, legs, hands or fingers), you have poor balance, are at high risk of falls, lack vision and am unable to see obstacles, you have imited mobility, lack the motivation to complete tasks safely, are unable to complete tasks independently, are unable to reach the floors, are unable to reach benches or due to experiencing confusion and disorientation.
